Luciano Zarotti was born in Venice in 1942. He studied at the Académie des Beaux-Arts in Paris and at the Free School of the Nude of the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice (Scuola libera del nudo dell’Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia) under the guidance of Luigi Tito, of whom he later became an assistant, eventually taking over from him as chairman of the Technical Chair paintings and fresco.

He has been teaching for forty years. Since the end of the 60s he has been collaborating with the Fucina degli Angeli by Egidio Costantini and he is a member of the Associazione Incisori Veneti. His works are displayed at the Ca ‘Pesaro – International Gallery of Modern Art, at the Pushkin Museum of Moscow, at the Cabinet of Prints in Florence and in important public and private collections. He lives and works in Venice and Montemassi (Grosseto).
